microStar® Dosimetry Reader

The microStar® reader is a compact, lightweight, portable reader that can be taken anywhere  that immediate dose results are required. Just as accurate and effective as LANDAUER’s® InLight® Auto 200 and Auto 500 readers, it is used in conjunction with our propriety aluminum oxide (Al2O3:C) detectors to measure radiation dose using a patented optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) readout technology.

The InLight® Dosimetry System is an example of LanDauer® Fleximetry, the industry’s most flexible dosimetry program. This flexibility lets you choose from the options below that best meet your organizational requirements.inlight4

OverviewInLight ® Dosimetry System
The microStar® quickly and efficiently reads InLight® nanoDot™, whole body or environmental dosimeters. Its software can accommodate multiple user-defined calibrations, allowing the microStar® to be used in a variety of radiation environments for accurate analysis, and providing maximum flexibility based on the dosimetry application.  The computation of dose from measured data is transparent and automated, employing a simple linear calibration in the lower dose range and a nonlinear 2nd order quadratic fit for calibrations in the higher dose range. A variety of user-selectable dose units are available(mrem, mrad, mSv and cGy), and output data can be custom-formatted and exported in XLS, PDF, XML or CSV formats.
